Worth it! She loves it. We bought this bed frame for our new Nectar mattress. But if you buy this for a mattress, beware that you HAVE to have smooth plywood, or better yet what we used, hardboard, cut to lay over the top before laying your mattress on it. The slats are not close enough together to lay your mattress on it without a flat surface on the bed frame first. If you lay it on it without the layer of wood, your mattress can squish through the slats and eventually break down your mattress and also your warranty on the mattress would not be valid.
Hardboard is thinner, smoother, and cheaper than plywood. You will need two sheets for a queen size bed frame and will have to cut them to fit. We bought ours at Menards and a friend with an electric saw cut ours for us. We love the bed frame. It is extremely sturdy. We also love the storage underneath. I made a double thickness tailored bed skirt out of cream muslin and attached it with heavy duty Velcro. This hides everything that we store in containers under our bed. Looks great, too. My husband and I put the bed frame together in around 35 minutes.
