The initial steps and the hinged doors are probably the most confusing part of the directions. Pretty sure one board is backwards on ours, but it is next to the stairs, so I ignored it. Be sure to have your power drill and an extra hex key ready for assembly. It took two of us half a day to assemble. We all love it!
