This safe is an excellent value for the money. Its perfect for keeping rifles out of the hands of kids and preventing unauthorized access to weapons while allowing safe, responsible adults quick access should such need (hopefully never) arise. There are certainly heavier, sturdier, more expensive safes on the market, but Id figure any thieves who could defeat this one could probably get into those, too.
The top locking compartment is perfect for small accessories and handguns. I was able to easily fit an AR with red dot and standard capacity magine, a scoped .22 rifle, a Mossberg Maverick, and a separate long shotgun barrel in there, with enough room for another rifle should I choose to add a precision rifle someday.
The fingerprint reader is a nice feature, and I love the silent mode — something that I wish my other safe offered.
The only critique I can offer at this point is the included batteries for testing purposes only are a waste. Either offer quality batteries with the product or leave the consumer to buy four high quality AA batteries for setup.
