This is a heavy genuine wood product, made of Pine. The color is stained evenly and looks great. It is sturdy, does not wobble and I was able to assemble it alone. . Instructions were easy to understand and all parts were included with extra hardware. Beautiful solid piece. I wanted two more, but was out of stock, so ordered something else. Best purchase yet!
