Just buy it!!! Overall, we love this bunk bed. The ladder design is great, and there is ample clearance between the bunks for me to sit up on the bottom bunk with an 8 inch mattress (Though I am only 52.) I doubt it would support the 400lb per bed over time, as it claims, but it is still a very sturdy bed and can support 200lb + per bed. The quality of the wood is above average, though we did still get small cracks in a few boards when tightening screws. The finish is nice, but I dont love all of the holes that show where the screws are inserted. I found the stickers they provided to cover them really strange. I think a plastic plug of some kind or even wooden plugs would be much nicer. We just opted to leave the holes showing, and I barely notice them most of the time now. The clearance under the the bottom bunk is also great! We have room for the kids sleeping bags, off-season clothes, and a few other items that needed to be stored.
