The drawers are not on tracks! This worries me a little for ease of opening and closing if the drawers get heavy and I also worry about scratching but no one would see it so that just silly. It does however mean it was easier to assemble. All in all it was actually pretty easy to assemble. I wish the parts had little meters or something like I sometimes find to help with part identification but I figured it out. It comes with a few extra screws and such but they are in a separate bag which is helpful. Once assembled its not very heavy till you put the drawers in so I recommend putting it where you want it before you put the drawers in, if you can. Oh, and the drawer knobs suck. They are a pain to screw in and almost impossible to get straight. But they can totally be replaced. All in all its a good piece.
