Even assembly is easy. Only the legs and lower shelf of the table require assembly and they are attached with very sturdy bolts. The lamp requires a bit more assembly but also a quality fixture. The switch is three way.
I can honestly say this is the best knock down furniture I have ever purchased, and I am old and have purchased a lot of it over the years.
This item and the coffee table were both packed in very sturdy cartons. Not a bit of damage even though one corner of a carton was crushed in shipping.
It is made in China but that only proves they can make quality goods if it is properly designed and the manufacture properly supervised.
I was and still am impressed. In our family room it (and the coffee table) appear to have been purchased from a high-end furniture store. Very nice piece.
