To note: directions say you only need handheld phillips and flat head screwdriver but without a drill youll be at it forever, Id imagine. Mine had minor imperfectionsa scratched (not badly) surface here or there. A weird paint splotch, not too noticeable. My 8.5/9 mattress does not slide in and out. I had to lift the bed a bit and place it undersince we will rarely use, no big deal but be aware you need a thin mattress for it to roll in and out easily. My Nephew likes it,
