Tip: Always count the parts with any brand of ready/to/assemble furniture

This is a nice/looking end table, and its very convenient to have 2 drawers and a shelf. To those who give one/star reviews because they started assembling something, let me say that as someone who has made that mistake, I understand the frustration. And so, please allow me to share my hard/won wisdom. Before assembling ANYTHING, invest two minutes in this simple task because it will save you so much grief. First, lay out all the screws/parts In little groups on a towel on the floor (prevents rolling away/scratches) and COUNT them to make sure they match up with the parts list. Seriously, this will save you so much time in the long run. Sometimes I have been able to just dash out to a hardware store to replace a lost screw. Usually when I have had to contact the seller and been pleasant and polite, they have been quite accommodating. So although the frustration is understandable, I would take a deep breath and ask myself: Is it really fair to give a negative review if we were too impatient to count the parts first. The point of any review isnt to vent. (Call a friend and vent to your hearts delight; I certainly do!) Rather, the point of a review is to help other customers decide if the product is worth buying. With inexpensive Ready/To/Assemble furniture, you cant really expect the same quality standards as an expensive high/end piece lovingly crafted by the finest craftsmen. Its a trade/off. And taking 2 minutes to count the parts is part of the deal you made to save money. So you shouldnt freak out and give a one/star review for an otherwise decent product if you refuse to hold up YOUR end of the bargain. And yes, I know this is fruitless to say, but again, take one minute, Just ONE BLESSED MINUTE, read the directions, even if you are experienced and think you know what to do. I have learned (again, the hard way), that sometimes the ORDER in which you do it makes a difference. OK, lecture over. Time to relax.
