Sturdy bed frame made from real wood, but a bit low and difficult to find matching accent pieces

This is a good bed for the price. It's made of some sort of hardwood and seems quite sturdy. I previously owned an Ikea Hemnes bed, and this one seems better built. It doesn't creak or chip as easily as the Ikea bed. also did a good job hiding the screw holes (some are visible on the headboard however). Assembly was quite easy, and I like how gives you a mechanical hex ratchet to make it less of a hassle. I had the whole thing up in about 30 minutes. If placing on a wood floor, make sure you buy some stick-on floor protectors from the dollar store as some have mentioned that the supports have damaged the flooring. A couple of downsides. First, the bed is too low for my taste and the distance between the slats and the bottom of the headboard is too short for anything more than an 8 mattress. Second, mine came in the antique espresso, and it's been a royal pain to find flatpack nightstands and dressers that match the stain. It would be nice if made matching bedroom pieces. As of now my plan is to sand down the bed and restain it to match a dresser and nightstands that I bought. If I had to do it again, I'd probably find a bed that was higher up and aesthetically fit a larger mattress, but given that this is going in a guest room, it's not a huge deal.
