Creaky! Doesnt feel like its going to last a year.
I like the aesthetic design of this. It is very minimalist and would look good in pretty much any room. However. its noisy. Every single joint on this thing creaks with the slightest movement. Its not an issue with one piece being slightly out of alignment, because every single joint does it. I followed the tips on the top review here / used Loctite (blue, so I can get it apart if I need to), put it all together loose before tightening up the bolts, and torqued the bolts extremely tight. I even tried putting some thin felt tape at all the joints, but it still creaks under even the slightest movement. Im not going to waste my time with the warranty unless it breaks, because every single joint is creaking and that tells me its a design flaw and just a bad unit. The floor its on is a concrete floor with very thin carpet, so its not sinking into some soft carpet causing it to creak.
It creaks when I get up or lay down. It creaks when my dog gets on the bed and moves, and he weighs a lot less than the average person. It creaks when I roll over. Do not buy this if you need absolute silence to sleep. The wood boards are also very thin and flexible, but well see how those hold up. My main problem is the creaking, and I really doubt they can do anything under warranty for me unless theyre going to send me a totally re/engineered version of this product that does not have the same design problems.
