Solid suitcase for about 2 years; then plastic buckled wheel ripped; waiting on warranty
This was a solid suitcase that I had for about 2 years; I am in sales was travelling probably once a month on work trips plus regular vacations, then recently was travelling about once a week for work. The suitcase was good for a while but recently, the plastic outer clamshell seemed to buckle the area of the ABS plastic around the wheel ripped, making the wheel effectively not work there and sort of exposing the inside lining of the suitcase. Again with work travel + regular person vacation time travel, I probably use this bad boy more than most and also this could be a fluke thing that just happened to me (maybe the wheel got caught on the tarmac or something once while the luggage guys put it on the conveyer belt coming out of the airplane - anything could have happened...), but nonetheless the plastic around one of the wheels did rip (SEE PICS). I believe there is a 5 year warranty on this waiting on Fox Luggage (parent company of ?) to warranty my suitcase. Leaving it at 3 stars as the suitcase was 5-star good until this happened; if they replace it I will update my review to 5 stars. Hope this helps.
