I was very worried when I got and found the box , it was ripped open in many spots and flopping . I took pictures just in case the inside looked like the outside . the styrofoam that was used to protect the various pieces was pretty much shredded making a huge mess when unboxing the pieces . that said, I didnt find any damage on the unit itself the instruction were fairly basic and easy to follow . I put it together by myself in about 1 1/2 hours part of the time was spent getting all the little pieces of styrofoam that were stuck to everything .shop vac worked good for that . unit seems pretty solid except for the drawer bottoms , basically stiff cardboard , I cut some 1/4 inch hard maple to put in their place . if you store very light stuff the ones sent will do ok , if you are storing canned goods or the like the original bottoms will bow .
