    Making Top Bed Torturous

The ladder is killer on your feet unless you weigh less than 40 lbs. . I bought rubber drawer liner to wrap around the ladder steps, to pad them, then secured them with zip ties both in black. Also, I didnt think about this till after it was put together, but you cant prop up your pillow on the bottom bed, like if you want to read or watch tv. Also, because both ends are open, with no railing, your pillow is susceptible to falling off the bed when youre asleep. Last I absolutely hate hate hate making the top bed! Ugh it is sooo difficult. I use a step ladder and have to move it all around the bed with me. You have to lift the mattress on all 4 corners to put the fitted sheet on and since Im not standing above the mattress, like I would with a regular bed, I dont have the strength or leverage to lift it up. Its also really a pain to tuck in a top sheet and a comforter or blanket. Every time I do this, I am chanting, I hate this!! the entire time Im making the bed. We use the bunk bed for guests so we need the bed to be made but if you dont care if the bed is made or not you dont have to deal with this. Just thinking about it gets me annoyed. Thought it was bigger.
