Bought this in a pinch when my 100 Bodum Bistro grinder died (for the second time) and I had to wait for a new one. Man, that thing is a piece of junk.
I kid you not, this little 16 manual grinder actually produces a better, more consistent coarse grind than the 100 Bodum ever dreamed of. Im surprised, considering how much side/to/side slop there is in the grinding mechanism. It doesnt even take that long (for a press worth of beans / 30/35 grams, depending on the coffee). A finer grind, though? It does a good job, but you better be somewhere comfortable and not in a hurry.
Unfortunately, it is very cheap and very flimsy. If you plan to use it a lot its not going to last long at all. Its sure nice to have around when your 100 Bodum dies, though, and thats why I recommend it. That and because it really does a fantastic coarse grind. Its cry!
Excellent Coarse Grind, Cheaply Built
