It works, but its a bit of a work out, especially if you use the finest setting
This will absolutely grind your beans, and you can adjust the settings from a very fine powder to a fairly quick and chunky grind.
The closer you get to the fine setting, the harder it gets to use. Youll get a nice hand and grip workout if you want fine ground coffee, and it takes a while. I wouldnt want my grandmother to have to use it.
In retrospect, given that the prices are pretty similar, I would probably get an electric unit next time. But if you dig the manual feel of doing it yourself, this should fit the bill.
The two jars are a nice touchyou can swap the grinding mechanism between them as easily as unscrewing and re/screwing the lid of a jar.
