I have a small kitchen with a short counter that comes up to my thighs. It isnt designed for a seat, but it has a window that looks out at parts of NY City and I thought one person could eat there. I needed a seat with a back for my bad back, not a bench. This chair is perfect. Very comfortable, and matches my black and white kitchen.
