This bench is perfect! I needed an inexpensive storage option for the foot of my bed where I could sit to put on shoes in the morning. I use it to store unused blankets in warmer months. I have had it a few weeks and not noticed unusual wear or issues. It closes quietly and slowly. It was heavy out of the box, but assembled and I only had to add the feet on the bottom. I am thinking about getting another to use as a ottoman in the living room.
