It only took my husband an hour and a half to get it together-seated both our box spring and mattress on it and no problems! It is very sturdy and beautifully made. It has improved our sleep tremendously! Better than our plain old metal frame. Our mattress and boxspring were new but already started to get the dreaded butt rutt! After placing our set on this frame its like they are brand new again! Do not be afraid,this is actually a great buy! Especially for the value
