Lets be honest. Its not a chic $5000 bed, but its a great bed for price.
It took me a couple hours to set it up by myself. Im a middle-age woman and small. I used a heavy table and a wall for support at one point, but otherwise I was able to do it by myself in one afternoon. Like others have said, I had trouble getting in one bolt. I tried drilling the hole a little deeper, but by then I had already stripped the bolt, so it didnt help much. SO BE CAREFUL with the one trouble maker. Fortunately, it was one of a pair at that joint, so I just removed it, and left it as it. Ill eventually get something at the hardware store. Otherwise, the plans were clear enough that I followed them easily and ended up with a working daybed.
I have not tried putting multiple people on it, but I it does hold a twin mattress and one adult female, without shaking. I would have preferred it a little shorter. Maybe one day Ill saw off a couple inches on the legs.
FYI, The packaging was beat up and I was clearly not the first person who ordered it, so the wood had some small chipping from poor delivery handling. Mine was espresso colored, so I used a sharpie to cover it up and it was fine. Better than mailing it back until I get a 100% perfect one. Also, the bolts were scattered in the box, but they were all there.
Great deal for a daybed
