It was easy to assemble from the standpoint of simplicity, but tightening the screws in wood that wasnt pre-drilled with the tiny tool provided was a challenge. It seems very sturdy and well made, but time will tell. I purchased this for the front porch to go with the chair I found earlier this year at TJ Maxx.
