The other reviews did not lie, great piece of furniture and relatively easy to assemble
First thing: there was NO and hasnt been any evidence of bed begs.
Second: it was super heavy and fortunately since I live in a condo so I was able to have the delivery people bring it into my room. They were efficient and polite. Gave advance notice that they were nearby and came during the window of time I requested.
Third: as you can see in my photos the items were all packed up inside the zippered headboard and I cosign that the rachet Allen wrench was very useful to get the work done with ease.
Fourth: it took me about 3 hrs on my own to finish putting together the bed (Im 52, 220 lb) and I feel like I could have finished it sooner if I was I in a hurry. I was just taking my time while also binging a show on Netflix so obviously I wasnt completely focused on the job.
It has been a few weeks and I can honestly say that I love my bed. It was an upgrade to a queen so its nice to have more space. The headboard is firm to support you sitting up and also very squishy. Nice alternative to a hard wall. I would highly recommend it. I was a little nervous about the wingback part but it gives it a classy look. I used a 10 in memory foam mattress and as you can see it doesnt sit too high on the bed so easy to get on. Very sturdy and I have no regrets. Be more than happy to give an update in a few months!
