Literally exactly what I expected and better! Love this headboard, its not so wide where it takes a lot of room and bed fits perfectly. This was so easy to assemble! The only down side is the package is VERY HEAVY! I needed three guys to carry it to my bedroom! Its sturdy and theres also some storage space in the back of the headboard. Doesnt need a box spring but I still used mine so my bed can be taller off the ground. Other then that I wouldve had ton of headboard space. With the box spring I only have about 13 inches.
