Easy for two people to assemble in about an hour. My son loved it! When we first bought it I would have said five stars. Its been less than six months and I have lowered my rating. The bed is used by a 36lb boy. In normal use the bed gets very wobbly and the bolts have to be re-tightened about every two months. Not that big of a deal, except now one of the main boards has split. I expected this bed to be sturdier than it is and to last longer than its looking like it will last.
