We bought this to put at the end of the bed to assist our dog who could no longer make the full jump up onto the bed. Its low height is perfect. Our dogs love it and use it as a step as well as for lounging. The extra storage is a bonus. And it looks great! I even use it in the morning when Im putting on my shoes.
