This is my second attempt with this table and yet again, I am not impressed. I bought this table at the end on May 27th. Within the first week this table lost its integrity. Its now June 12th and I barely trust this table enough to put weight on it.
I put this table through the test every coffee table should go through. I put my feet up on it while I was watching TV, I set hot plates/bowls on it, I had kids playing on it, etc. and it didnt last a month. The screws loosened on the legs and now the table wobbles. The legs are thin enough that tightening the a screw bends the (sketchy). But the cherry on top came once it was spilled on.
Spills happen, especially with kids or dogs. Sturdy furniture should not swell to high heaven when a tiny spill gets on it. The wood part of the piece is made of MDF board. Same or similar wood furniture is made of. Except the difference lies within the reaction from the wood when something spills on it. I have other pieces that have been spilled on but had minimal swelling, if any at all. This piece not only swelled up but warped when something spilled on it and was left for no more than 5 minutes. It seems like the edges arent sealed or something.
All in all I like the look of the table and it was easy to put together. Though these are great things, this table doesnt cut it in my book. The money put into this table could be better spent and stretched at another furniture store.
If purchased I recommend waterproofing, and adding some wood braces on the legs to help with sturdiness.
