Contrary to the advertised claim, the American Home Collection Lexington Console Table is not crafted of solid pine. This piece does in fact have some MDF used in its construction, most notably the lower shelf. However, this does not detract from the piece (only time will tell the whole story). Overall this is a good peice at a fair price.
