Completely agree with other reviews re: ease of assembly and GREAT style addition to my breakfast bar. Package was short 2 screws (82) but could not determine where they go (unless extras, which would be nice to have). Stool very stable in lower heights, a little wobbly when fully extended but you shouldn't be dancing on a chair anyway! Reason for 4-star rating is mostly the gas-driven hydraulic post ... it feels very sticky. I can't tell if it is operating properly, as it goes up and down but with much effort; up is much easier than down. Has anyone white-greased or WD-40'd the post? I don't want it TOO smooth, just a little help. It might simply be a little dry from manufacturer.
Otherwise, these are stylish, visually appealing and comfortable seats that do in fact adjust and swivel. Would not recommend for kids though (esp fully extended) as the base is not heavy enough to handle a little climber. :D
