This recliner has been a godsend, since Ive had to sleep in a recliner after shoulder replacement surgery. We had an old LaZBoy with a manual lever, which was both too low and too stiff to be useful. It was extremely easy for my husband to put together, and though we were both skeptical of how sturdy it would be, since its not terribly heavy, but the motor is very quiet and the lift mechanism is excellent. Im also quite tall, long legged, and not a light weight. Id actually give it 5 stars for comfort if the footrest had a mechanism to extend it, as some recliners offer, and if the fabric covering, which is a kind of vinyl of pleather, didnt get a bit warm after youre in it for awhile. Since Im sleeping in it, spending hours against the pleather directly made me a bit too warm but using a throw to cover it has solved that. And it is quite comfortable. The recline mechanism can get to a practically completely prone position. I prefer to have my head elevated a bit, so I dont generally go back quite that far, but it is possible to do that. And initially having the option to elevate the chair was very helpful / gravity is not your friend directly after should replacement. All in all its useful, comfortable, and has fit the bill for my post/surgery needs. Its also attractive enough (opted for the cream color) that I could put it in any other room and it would fit in perfectly with virtually any furniture or decor style. The heat and massage function were an added bonus, thoughj I would prefer being able to use the heat function independently of the massage, which is not currently possible. The pockets are also very useful, and the arm rests are plush and comfortable. Given the price point, the features are comparable to those found on recliners costing much more.
Excellent recliner for the money
