Great as a desk and a standard sized standing desk fits on top with room.
After struggling to find an actual desk that was deep enough I ended up getting two of these tables for desks in my husband and my home office. As you can see in the pic a standing desktop fits perfectly with some space on the side for things. The bar in the middle on the bottom makes a great foot rest for me, but it may annoy some people.
A note on assembly: Do NOT follow the directions that come with the tabletop that instruct you to put the frame together first, then put the top on last. Instead, put it together upside down then flip it over, this will save you a lot of headache and you wont have to try to allen wrench screws in upside down. After about 2 weeks of use go over all the screws and tighten them / which is just good practice for any furniture you put together yourself.
