Color is not bright, and a dark teal so it blends in well with a lot of color palets. Could blend well with greens also. We put plastic glider feet on the bottom of the legs so it slides easily on the carpet. As for storage, yes its large, and no I havent put anything in it yet. Very comfy, nice padded top. Used daily. Kids love to sit on it as well.
