We love the look of this piece (similar to a Crate and Barrel model) so were excited to give it a try. I was super hesitant to buy such a large/expensive item through , but free delivery was nice, so we gave it a go. (The delivery experience was fantastic. Friendly, local guys who set everything up and took all packaging away)
Im giving the sofa two stars: one for the design/look and two for the quality/durability of the fabric itself. Weve had some spills and the water-resistant nature of the fabric has made clean up a breeze. Im taking away stars for 1)comfort, 2) durability of the interior stuffing, and, because of these two things, 3)value for the money. Call me crazy but I think $1k should get me a pretty good piece.
This was my first item Ive ever bought that was more than $300-500 at Big Lots or something similar, so I was expecting a lot. Maybe thats unfair?
Bottom line, its just not comfy. Anywhere. Weve had it a little over a year and we hate sitting in it. I added some polyfil to the seat cushions which seemed to help a little. The back cushions fill is sealed inside so it wasnt easy to add anything there. Ultimately I think Im going to have all cushions completely restuffed by a local company with better qualify seat foam, and lose the stupid feathers. We may also have to add something under the cushions, like a cushion base, since the covers limit how much volume we can ultimately put inside. Despite how much I love how this one looks, Im so mega jealous of friends with big ugly sofas that are comfy and have lasted for years. Not my best purchase.
Great look but not comfy enough for price
