This is a solid piece of furniture and we are pleased at the real wood used in the product. My daughter loves the bed. She is 56 so there isnt quite enough room underneath for her to sit up fully, but shes created a lounge area with pillows and twinkle lights. We combined this bed with short dressers, which we put under the base, to create more storage in a small room. Feels like this bed will last a LONG time.
A word of caution, this product will take you a long time to build. Our can of three took over 3 hours. Its not difficult by any means, just time consuming. It comes in a large flat/pack box so each part (, footboard, ladder, etc) is assembled from singular pieces. So, dont start building it at 7 pm.like we did, and expect to finish by bedtime.
The price seemed a little high but now that i see is a real wood item, I think its reasonable for the cost. We wanted to use my daughters existing . If your is too tall/full, you wont get the guard/rail effect on the side.
Overall, shes happy, and we like the product.
