Seems to be well made, but be advised ebony is not true/solid black . . . it looks like a semi-transparent black finish . . . there is a hint of brown underneath. still beautiful, fits in nicely with espresso pieces i have nearby as well as with black granite counter top. Assembly require some patience and minor know-how, but considering the quality of the finished product it really isnt difficult to do.
For the life of me i couldnt get the final wood screw on the final step front to sit properly, so I just cemented a stringer in place with a good quality wood glue. Added some extra time/effort to the assembly, but s*** happens.
The counter height 42x42 table top has an attractive but subtle design. My only complaint is that the chairs/chair cushions could have been more comfortable. All in all, very pleased with the purchase, including the fact that I was able to choose my delivery day.
