I dont know what mattress they used for their product photo, but our Costco twin mattress has dwarfed the rails. We put a standard twin mattress with a pillow topper on the top bunk and this put the sleeping plane at just a bit higher than the bed rails. This is an accident waiting to happen when someone will roll off that bunk onto the floor. This will be returned.
Gave it low ratings on ease of assembly due to fact that multiple screws were bent or otherwise inadequate and we had to supply our own.
