Particle board chipped during assembly and I had to buy new wood to repair.

This unit was much heavier than I expected because it's particle board rather than regular wood. It was a huge challenge unbox and move. While assembling one of the drawers, the particle board chipped at the connectors of two panels so I had to purchase new piece of wood to replace the particle board that broke. (Thank you Lowe's hardware store for cutting New pieces for me) I had to buy a whole sheet of wood for these two small pieces so I asked the employee to cut some 19 x 19 inch slabs to make extra shelves. I will need to drill holes to add the hardware for the shelves to sit on. I'm 71 years old. I am still accustomed to furniture made out of real wood and very disappointed that it is particle board. Much too heavy for this old lady to handle putting together alone. Had to call in reinforcements. My daughter came to my rescue. I am normally self-reliant and used to doing things on my own. This particle board lump of sawdust and glue was an extra challenge.
