I have a 5 and 3 yo. We already had a full mattress that I wanted to keep using Im still waiting on twin for top. (Theres couch pillows up there) Fits perfectly under I just moved the ladder and rigged it with some bunk ladder hooks I bought. Ladder is extremely painful on feet/Got a foam noodle at dollar tree. Fairly sturdy and doesnt squeak yet. Great deal. I dont plan on using for ten years so if it lasts 5 Ill be happy. My daughters love it.
I put together myself easily (female) kids helped me hold a bit when needed. Simple directions! Even got it upstairs myself.
