We bought this cabinet to replace an open bookshelf that looked cluttered. Our living room had a bookshelf that always looked messy, even when it was straightened. To resolve the problem we bought three of these cabinets and stacked them, and stored the bookshelf items behind closed doors. It looks great and no more messy shelves!
However, I must mention there is a problem with the doors on the bottom cabinet. Too much weight in the above cabinets cause the doors not to slide that well. I would buy them again, but only stack two cabinets instead of three. Also, make sure it is level or the doors wont close properly.
