JUST PUT THE FEET ON AND SCREW THE BRACKETS ON THE BACK PORTION. THEN OPEN THE OTTOMON AND SLIP THE HARDWEAR PRONGS INTO THE SLOTS THEN SHUT THE . THEN MOVE AROUND THE PIECES TO UR SATISFACTION. I ASSEMBLED IT ON CARPET BUT I COULD SEE. IF ONE DID IT ON HARDWOOD FLOOR THAT IT MAY SLIP AROUND, ESPECIALLY SINCE THE FEET ARE MADE OUT OF PLASTIC NOT WOOD.
