We bought this sectional to replace a 6/year/old sectional from an expensive furniture store. We are heavier people and have two toddlers that are hard on furniture. I figured for the price we should take the chance but my husband was VERY skeptical.
Positives:
/The sectional was delivered in only 2 days which was mind blowing. It was scheduled to be delivered in a week so seeing it on our porch early was a nice surprise.
/I was able to put the entire thing together myself in about 2 hours and I am definitely not handy. It is super easy to snap the pieces together and I felt like they were sturdy.
/Because it is all of the pieces can be moved and switched. I am super excited about this because our past sectional started to wear in certain spots that we liked to sit in most often. I know if that happens with this sectional we can just switch out the seats and keep them from looking too used.
/Going off of the previous positive, I am LOVING being able to put two s together so its almost like a small bed. My toddlers and I love to snuggle and watch movies before bed and its the perfect spot for all of us.
Neutral:
/The back of the seats are not very high. Its not too much of an issue because we have it sitting against a wall but Im wondering how long it will be before the back cushions start to become misshapen from being half on the seat back and half off of it.
/The cushions are pretty stiff. Part of me is happy about that being heavier and knowing over time it will start to slump Im hoping the extra firmness will keep that slumping from happening too soon. But I would like the seats to be a little softer.
Cons:
/My husband is tall, 62 and the seats are not deep enough for him to comfortably sit with his legs down and sit far back in the seat. Hes pretty much sitting straight up which is not very comfortable.
/1 of the side arms was difficult to get into the seat so we had to losen the screws. Im not happy about that knowing that is where people put their weight when they sit down and stand up from the sectional.
Overall, I am happy with the purchase and hope my opinion continues to stay that way. I will update if it changes.
