Dont get me wrong, this is beautiful but its an ABSOLUTE PAIN to put together!!!!! All the balls in each corner at the top have cracked the same night it was put together. The tools Are just thrown in a bag altogether and not separated. Theres is about 10 different tools used for this bed. For your own SANITY I highly recommend separating them and putting them in little bowls and labeling A,B,C And so forth. Otherwise you will lose your mind! It took My husband and I an hour alone to put the metal slats together. If you put a box spring under your mattress it WILL completely cover the headboard area(which honestly does not look bad)
It seems pretty sturdy as my daughter has slept in it a week. Is it worth what I paid? Yes. This is a 2 person assembly no doubt about it, 3 if you want to go faster. I hope this info helps the next buyer.
BTW DO NOT OVERTIGHTEN WHILE PUTTING THE RAILS TOGETHER OR YOU WILL BE WORKING ON IT FOR AN HOUR LIKE WE DID! TIGHTEN AT THE END!
