Love this bedframe its very sturdy real wood totally awesome! My husband and I both are on the heavy side and I dont feel any movement of this bedframe whatsoever. We put it together one day at a time the first day we did the foot part and one side the next day we did the one side and then put them all together and put the slats and sides on. That helps make it not so hard if you do it in two days the foot and this one side took 3 to 3 1/2 hours for my husband to put together. As far as the directions they were very thorough there are two photos throughout the whole instructions that is a little backwards so set your pieces up look at them really good look at the pictures in the instructions and pay real close attention and you will do just fine. There is absolutely no word directions its all photos.
We left the big door off on the side of the bed so our little Maltese could have a little sleeping area and she loves it.
