A well designed, and I dare say handsome piece.
First thing - the construction is a bit of a pain. Instructions are pseudo- style, and the diagrams can get a bit convoluted. Set aside plenty of time to assemble this (and use an impact driver when you do). It took me a couple of hours or so, and at times I found myself referring to a couple of pictures of the finished product to help me out.
Once assembled, its a good and sturdy piece. The materials are made for the long haul, and the design results in something that wont fall apart after a year. Its something thats well suited for use as a pseudo-sofa as well as a guest or even regular bed. Its made such that a box support isnt necessary, as the slats provide good support.
The design is something that looks classic but has interesting elements that add a bit of contemporary to it. Call it updated-classic. Thats all a fancy way of saying its going to fit in most any decor, black especially. I do think it will really stand out in a semi-mid-century theme, but really I dont have much issue with it NOT working in most any room. Well, maybe not the bathroom.
Its a good piece, I like it a lot. Simply Perfect!
Take your time - but its great
