Overall, a good chair at a good price

Ive tended to be very happy with my purchases from Basics. The quality of their items tend to be good, and their prices fairly low. This chair is no exception. It seems very sturdy and the materials used seem to be pretty tough. I dont think any plastic components are going to break. Furthermore, the arm-rests seem to be metal reinforced, which is good as they hold up the back of the chair. My one compliant is that the way you have to assemble it, as per the instructions, involves scraping the back against the arm-rests, marring up the plastic, which although is decent plastic, does scrape fairly easily. So basically, you get a brand new chair and immediately leave ugly marks in it. I will say my roommate of the past two years had a very similar chair, although a different brand, and the arm-rests did break on his. Im not sure if they were metal re-enforced or not. Also, the caps on his that covered the Allens-head screws always came off. I didnt even bother putting them on my chair. Overall, Im happy with this chair, and its a good price, I just wish putting it together didnt involve scraping the sides against the arm-rest.
