The hardware comes blister packed inside a recyclable plastic bag. After getting everything unpacked, started assembly. Instructions have come a long way since the indecipherable translations of old. These have several numbered pictures and the wooden pieces are all numbered in various places to you can easily figure things out.
After getting everything tightly screwed together, I put my 5 inch memory foam mattress topper on the slats. I weigh 200 lbs and I was fearful that the slats, which were significantly bending, would break. In the future, I may lay something on the slats to help support my weight, but so far the slats are holding up.
For $200, this is a high quality frame that doesn't squeak and appears to be very strong. They even give you some extra parts. Everything was there so they weren't needed, but they'll go in my collection.
