Low to the ground just like it says. FYI the low slung 6 inch model is actually 7 to base of mattress. We bought this frame because our dog is getting old and really loves to sleep with us.
We knew this going in but its worth mentioning: if you have a robot vacuum, there is a rail all the way around this bed at the floor so it cant go under to clean. Over all quality and design are good. Super simple bed frame at good price.
