Very easy to assemble. Directions are in Japanese but the pictures suffice. Reasonable shipping time coming from overseas, I think my wait was a week on the east coast. Living on the west coast it would have been sooner. I wasnt happy with other slat frames because theyre full of complaints that they broke easy. This frame is sturdy. To the reviews complaining about the slats being uneven when installed: I believe you need to be mindful when screwing them in. We took our time and theyre even, but they can get crooked if not screwed evenly because the holes are large to allow room. I bought 2 of these to adjoin as a king size, and it is doing that flawlessly. One more thing to say: they ship extra foot pegs then just 6 per frame. So in the pictures, it can be stacked higher by 2 more pegs. I like it lower so we only used 1 peg. Very happy.
