We just finished assembling the second of these. We bought two twins for a guest room to replace old rickety beds. I am no engineer, but did not have any trouble assembling the beds. All you need is an allen wrench and little regular wrench. The first one took about 90 minutes, the second one half that time because I did not need to spend much time consulting the instructions. The instructions were clear. All the pieces fit together nicely. They were all labeled with letters and numbers which provided guidance for the assembly. Now the that beds are assembled, they seem fine. I do not understand the negative reviews. Of course they are new and have not been used, but I weigh about 220lbs and the beds seemed fine and sturdy when I lay down on them. One thing I noticed is that because the slats are metal, and slick, the mattress slides on them when pushed from the side. One solution, it seems, is to align the bed against the wall, which gives support to one side and prevents the sliding. These are fine, basic bed frames for a guest room or for kids. Given the affordable price, I would recommend these for those purposes.
