I absolutely love my swing! I know it isnt advertised as such, but these make very nice sensory therapy swings. I would highly recommend this swing for that purpose because it does give a nice hug feeling at a fraction of the cost. So far, everyone in the family has enjoyed it. Its very comfortable and sturdy. I also added pillows and a swivel to make it more comfy. Mine is hanging inside in my room, so no worries about weathe. I also used my own hanging hardware. So while I cant speak for the hook or strap that came with it, I can say that the swing itself can easily hold over 300 lbs. as advertised. I have no doubt that this swing will last for a long time. This is the second swing Ive purchased. The other one was similar, but from a different company. In comparison, this swing was very easy to assemble and came with a nice instruction leaflet. The travel bag and inside pocket are very nice added features too. Im conside purchasing again for a different part of the house. For those still trying to decide and weighing the reviews, I recommend getting a good heavy duty swivel and chain for hanging. It really makes a huge difference. I purchased a Seleware bea swivel here off of that works stellar. All good.
