I have a 5/year/old son (about 51lbs) who desperately wanted bunk beds so my mom purchased these for him. I do wish it was stated a little more prominently that stuff showed up in 2 boxes. It is on this page but I almost missed it and was a little confused when the first (very heavy / be warned) box showed up and seemed too small to contain everything.
Assembly was so/so. I definitely wouldnt say it was easy, but not the worst either. It just felt kind of nonsensical at times / like why would you have wooden dowels but not glue them in? Why doesnt assembly call for a drill for all the slats? Sure you can do them by hand, but talk about a chore. It feels kind of misleading in order to make it seem easier than it is. The screws for the ladder dont seem appropriate and quickly came undone. These were things I could have looked past, however, because the finished product is very nice and you encounter these kinds of things when assembling furniture at home.
Unfortunately, we have had it assembled for about a month and the bed is very wobbly and swaying out of nowhere. The only one who sleeps in it is my son and he doesnt jump on it or really spend any time in it
Not long/lasting
